Isaiah Christopher
SINGER + ACTOR + MUSICIAN
Isaiah is a Whitney Houston lover born in Raleigh, North Carolina. Isaiah started his love for performing in church at the age of four by singing in the choir. Isaiah also began learning how to play the piano by ear around the age of four. Once he started first grade, he did school choir up until his senior year of high school. In his second grade year of elementary school, he auditioned for his first school musical and was cast. Ever since the age of seven, Isaiah has loved singing and acting.
In middle school, Isaiah indulges more in musical theatre. As a young, black, queer person, it was difficult to find a place of comfort and belonging. Theatre offered him that space. Isaiah was able to play any type of character and action without the insecurity of judgement and exclusivity. His passion carried into high school.
In high school, Isaiah's passion turned into a dream when he performed in Ragtime his freshman spring semester. In that process, he learned that there was a place for him in the theatre because there were characters and actors that looked like him. Black bass/baritones with a rich voice. Now his goal is to always inspire other people of color while performing. Prioritizing representation and inclusivity. Something that Isaiah didn't see until his teenage years.
Isaiah is currently a senior double concentrated in the BFA program at East Carolina University, graduating in May 2025. Concentrating in musical theatre and acting. Isaiah has been blessed to play many different types of roles and people, which allows him to grow as an actor and performer.
Isaiah aspires to create and perform beautiful work with gifted ensembles across the globe.
